Janaa provides strategic financial leadership and operational oversight for YSRP, ensuring the organization’s financial health and efficiency. Her passion for YSRP’s mission is deeply personal, shaped by her experiences growing up in Philadelphia and her connections to those impacted by the criminal justice system. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Janaa has extensive experience in public accounting and private consulting, working with both for-profit and nonprofit clients. She has managed financial operations for diverse organizations and previously worked with firms like Deloitte and Ernst & Young, specializing in financial analysis, auditing, and internal controls. A former Division I basketball team captain at George Mason University, where she earned dual degrees in Accounting and Marketing, Janaa brings teamwork, discipline, and passion to her role. These qualities fuel her commitment to supporting YSRP’s mission of justice and reentry reform.
