Is It a New Day for Reentry in Philadelphia?

YSRP Co-Director Joanna Visser Adjoian and Youth Reentry Coordinator Cameron Holmes published an opinion piece in The Legal Intelligencer on January 10, 2020 entitled, “Is It a New Day for Reentry in Philadelphia? We Hope So.” In it, Joanna and Cameron call on the City’s leadership to commit to action in the reentry space by holding true to the potential of the office it created in 2019, the Office of Reentry Partnerships, for just such purposes. Joanna and Cameron contend that, by investing in Philadelphia’s returning citizens who return home from jails and prisons in significant ways, and by resourcing the Office and committing to transparency and accountability, the City can turn a corner in its reentry outcomes.
