The YSRP Speakers Bureau uplifts the voices of impacted young people and former Juvenile Lifers through storytelling. Their stories are sacred and have the power to transform individuals, communities, and systems. As the speakers share the ways their lives are impacted by mass incarceration and the criminal legal system, they heal, educate, and advocate.

Rooted in YSRP’s value of self-determination, the Speakers Bureau is led by client-partners who are trained in effective storytelling techniques that promote and prioritize collective healing. The speakers are compensated for their participation because we value their contributions as thought-partners, advocates, and colleagues.
