YSRP Celebrates 4th Anniversary of Montgomery Decision

On the 4th anniversary of the landmark Montgomery v. Louisiana US Supreme Court decision, former Juvenile Lifers and their loved ones gathered with YSRP staff and our partners in the field to celebrate freedom. John Pace, YSRP’s JLWOP Reentry Coordinator, emceed a program that honored and celebrated the community, beginning with a remembrance of Shavonne Robbins, followed by remarks from Chad Dion Lassiter and, finally, with Saleem Holbrook, recognition of “unsung heroes” in the Juvenile Lifer community.
