City Council Hearing on March 3 at 1:00pm
On Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00pm, Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project will testify, alongside directly-affected parents, advocates and partners from Juvenile Law Center and Justice Lab at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, on Philadelphia Department of Human Services’ practice of charging parents for the cost of their child’s incarceration in the juvenile justice system. Join with us to let the City know that this unjust practice harms working families in Philadelphia. Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson has coordinated this hearing, which will be held at City Hall in Council Chambers, Room 400 at 1:00pm.
