On August 8, 2017, YSRP Co-Director Joanna Visser Adjoian joined a CLE panel entitled “Ending PA’s Pipeline to Poverty by Reducing Reentry Barriers,” held at the law firm of White & Williams. The panel included Community Legal Services of Philadelphia Staff Attorney (and YSRP Board Member) Jamie Gullen, the Honorable Judge L. Felipe Restrepo of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Jacqueline Romero of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Philadelphia. The conversation was moderated by Young Friends of YSRP Member Eli Klein. The powerful discussion emphasized the way that both lawyers and employers, among other community members, can reduce barriers to reentry for formerly incarcerated individuals.
