YSRP’s Senior Reentry Coordinator John Pace talks with The Jawncast podcast from KYW Newsradio about hiring formerly-incarcerated people.
This week, The NBA Foundation announced 38 new grants totaling $11 million to help create employment opportunities, further career advancement and drive greater economic empowerment for Black youth. YSRP is thrilled to be one of the grant recipients.
The grants were announced as part of the league’s Season of Giving (Nov. 22 – Dec. 25), a five-week celebration during the holiday season when the NBA family gives back by supporting and uplifting youth, families, and organizations across the country.
The NBA Foundation’s investment will enable YSRP to support our youth client-partners as they transition home and seek employment. This generous gift will enable meaningful reentry work to take place, in partnership with youth, in and around Philadelphia, and allow YSRP to continue supporting our client-partners in living full lives with dignity. We are so thankful for this generous contribution, and we look forward to sharing the impact that this investment creates.
