Shariff, YSRP’s Speakers Bureau Coordinator, centers the organization’s client-partners by giving them the opportunity to share their personal experiences with mass incarceration. Incarcerated at just 15, Shariff was sentenced to a mandatory life sentence without any chance of parole. He served 23 years before being released following the Supreme Court decision that rendered his sentence unconstitutional. Since his release, Shariff has worked in construction. Additionally, Shariff mentors youth and serves on the Advisory Committee for The PA Prison Society. He is thrilled to lead this group in engaging audiences in discussions about necessary justice reforms.
