TAMIKA BELL

Tamika was charged and incarcerated as an adult at just 16, and she now dreams of a world in which no child is forced to endure a system designed for adults. She also creates joy by giving back and helping others to do the same. Tamika seeks opportunities for activism through art. She has been featured in two films: The Command Center to Bring Women Home and Wide Open. Tamika hopes to speak about her experience during 24 years spent in prison – especially the experience of life in a women’s prison. Tamika spends her life caring for others, including her husband and their five fur babies.
