YSRP Participated in Listening Tour with Eagles, NFL

We at YSRP applaud the efforts of members of the Philadelphia Eagles, led by Malcolm Jenkins, to learn more about how the criminal justice system impacts our communities in Philadelphia. On September 12, we sat with NFL leaders such as Jenkins, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to share about youth charged as adults and juvenile lifers and add to the conversation about the realities people coming home from jails and prisons face. YSRP seeks to present a “best practice” through our work on behalf of youth in the adult criminal justice system, and those who were sentenced as children to life in prison without parole. We hope to continue the conversation, and to continue learning from one another. Watch the video recapping the Listening Tour here.
