Through partnership in the Care, Not Control campaign, YSRP’s policy team is making real progress in efforts to enact legislative reform in Harrisburg. Young people with lived experience are driving the demands of the Care, Not Control campaign, like Briannah, a youth leader in the campaign. They continue to call on the Pennsylvania Juvenile Justice Task Force to adopt Care, Not Control‘s demands, including ending the carceral state for youth in Pennsylvania, divesting from youth incarceration, and reinvesting in communities. YSRP is proud to be led in this work by young people like Briannah to end the incarceration of young people in Pennsylvania.
